Jamestown to Place $890M Bet on Industry City
Jamestown will announce today its plan to put $890M into the 6M SF site (shown above, in middle ground) over 12 years, Bloomberg reports. Tenants would throw down about $150M under the plan. Jamestown’s already spent $100M on the site. The landlord wants 20,000 workers to eventually stream in and out of its complex daily. The investment plan includes a conference center/hotel and over 900k SF of ground-floor retail. Jamestown’s also asking the city to change the zoning in the area. 850k SF at the site are already leased, with a tenant roll that includes the Brooklyn Nets. [Bloomberg]
