Eliot Spitzer Files Plans for Second Williamsburg Waterfront Building
The 16-story, 165-foot tall structure will have about 200 rental units on the waterfront at 416-418 Kent Ave, reports the Real Deal. There will also be 2,865 SF of ground-floor retail and a 223-car garage in the 151,764 SF building. This in addition to an 18-story apartment building filed last month at 420-444 Kent Ave. Eliot Spitzer bought the 2.8-acre plot of land, formerly the home of Kedem Winery, for $165M from developer Rector Hylan, which tried unsuccessfully to build affordable housing on the site. ODA is slated to design both buildings, which are just two blocks from Two Trees’ Domino Sugar Factory development, and Aptsandlofts.com is handling the leasing. Rumors are swirling of a proposal to include a local mustache-grooming shop to serve the needs of the community.
