Donald Brennan Plans Development on Bed Stuy/Bushwick Border
After making a name for himself with the attractive Strong Place in Cobble Hill, Donald Brennan is heading to Bed Stuy. The developer has filed plans for 62 apartments, averaging 723 SF, in 44,873 SF of residential space at 822 Lexington Ave between Patchen Avenue and Broadway, right on the edge of Bushwick. The development will house 11 apartments on most floors, one unit on the first, and six on the seventh floor. Two of the project's top-floor units will have private terraces, NY YIMBY reports. Plans also reveal a shared roof terrace, a gym, bike storage and two rec rooms. It's unclear whether the project, designed by Montroy Andersen DeMarco, will replace a long-term senior care facility run by Cobble Hill Health Center, or just share its tax lot. Brennan bought the property from the nonprofit for $7.3M. [NYY]
