Longtime Williamsburg Bar And Venue To Get 3 Stories Of Apartments On Top
The former site of The Living Room, a longtime staple of the Williamsburg music scene, is headed for an overhaul after the venue went under a few months back.
The landlord plans to build three stories, with one apartment each, on top of the existing bar and venue space at 134 Metropolitan Ave.
If the frenetic pace of nearby residential development is any indication, that seems like a solid investment.
Each unit will average about 1,272 SF, and the final product will be about 55 feet high, NY Yimby reports. All told the building will have about 6,600 SF of interior space after the additions.
The landlord, Marek Kaczor, picked up the building in 2007 for an undisclosed sum. [NYY]
