New Renderings: Durst’s 625 West 57th St
The Durst Organization’s Bjarke Ingels-designed 625 West 57th St is already making an impact on the skyline of the Far West Side of Manhattan, and new renderings give a fuller sense of what it’ll look like when it’s done.
It’s rising to 32 stories and 460 feet, and it’ll have 709 apartments, with 142 fetching below-market-rate rents. The architect has likened the 800k SF building to a cross between a courtyard building an a skyscraper, according to NY Yimby. The new renderings, which show it from close up, help illustrate what he meant. The building will have a full complement of amenities that’ll include shared “living rooms” with chef’s kitchens and fireplaces. And the ground floor will have 45k SF of retail.
Besides the signature courtyard and pool, the project will come with a slew of amenities, including a basketball court, a fitness center, a golf simulator, a screening room, and shared “living rooms” equipped with fireplaces, chef’s kitchens, dining rooms and outdoor terraces. [NYY]
