Northern Brooklyn's Apartment Boom

Large-scale residential development in northern and central Brooklyn will more than double over the next two years, with 5,800 new apartment units projected for 2017, according to a CityRealty report. The report is based on projects with at least 20 units, including affordable housing and commercial buildings that were converted to residential (the data didn't include condo conversions). If these units are built, it will surpass the last peak of more than 3,200 units built in 2008. [Crain's]
