1407 Broadway’s New Look
Lightstone’s Marc Turner (right, whom we snapped at our Office of the Future event with CBRE’s Peter Turchin and Montroy Andersen DeMarco’s Dan Montroy) tells us his company’s 1407 Broadway is the answer for tenants that can't find space in Midtown South. It fits the new wave of collaborative work styles, Peter says, and that helps companies recruit talent. Lightstone had intended to renovate for larger tenants when it bought 1407 Broadway in ’07. The downturn delayed that course of action, but the rise since of Midtown South a few blocks away makes it an even better plan now. The top of the tower offers 14k SF floorplates, while the lower floors can accommodate needs as high as 50k SF. The latest techies to sign on for space there: Gogotech, Main Street Hub, and Techstars.
