Laundry Service And Cycle Move From Manhattan To Brooklyn
Surprise, surprise: more media companies are moving from Manhattan to Brooklyn.
Sister media companies Laundry Service and Cycle are moving from their 23k SF space at 40 West 25th St in Midtown South to 50k SF in Midtown Equities, Rockwood Capital and the HK Organization’s Empire Stores (pictured) in DUMBO.
The two companies are owned by Wasserman Media Group and headed by CEO Jason Stein, who praised DUMBO’s “up-and-coming hustler mentality,” the Wall Street Journal reports.
Advertising firm 72andSunny took 63k SF at the 400k SF revamped 19th-century coffee warehouse at 55 Water St earlier this year, and it was heavily considered by Rolling Stone magazine publisher Wenner Media. Rockwood and Midtown Equities declined to comment. [WSJ]
