5 Office Buildings Are Creating A New Approach To Connectivity In The Grand Central Business District

    This historic part of Midtown East is home to a slate of office buildings that are redefining the area for the modern tenant. These buildings include 237 Park Ave., 340 Madison Ave., 450 Lexington Ave., 530 Fifth Ave. and 230 Park Ave., also known as the Helmsley Building. 

    These five properties from RXR Realty form a work-play-stay environment designed to foster community, collaboration and wellness among the office tenants of the Grand Central neighborhood.

    The Executive Lounge And Club Room At The Helmsley Building 

    The Executive Lounge and Club Room at the Helmsley Building serves as both a meeting space and a social club where tenants can lounge in armchairs while discussing their latest project, or unwind with a drink and play a round of pool with their co-workers in the evening. It can be rented by tenants for special events, they can email RXR Realty for more information. 

    The Executive Lounge and Club Room also features an outdoor terrace for open-air meetings and lunch breaks. 

    Convene At 237 Park Ave. And 530 Fifth Ave.

    Convene is a premium coworking and event space provider that creates environments designed to foster creativity and collaboration. There are two Convene locations in the Grand Central portfolio, at 237 Park Ave. and 530 Fifth Ave., where tenants can meet to work, socialize or host events. 

    Convene's Wellness Space - 530 Fifth Ave. 

    Convene’s newest location, at 530 Fifth Ave., will include a wellness space provided by Hydra Studios. Providing wellness offerings that are accessible during the workday can support productivity and overall quality of life at work. 

    Yoga Classes

    Studies have shown that employees who take advantage of wellness programs incur lower health costs and are more productive. Tenants can take lunchtime yoga classes hosted throughout each of the five buildings. 

    Pop-Up Lounge At The Helmsley Building 

    At the Helmsley Building, RXR Realty transformed decommissioned elevator banks into a pop-up lounge with a Middle Eastern flare, where tenants enjoyed an afternoon break with delicious food and plush furniture. 

    Salsa Workshops At 530 Fifth Ave.

    At 530 Fifth Ave., tenants recently participated in a salsa dancing workshop to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. The tenant programming throughout RXR’s Grand Central portfolio is designed to help people connect through learning experiences and interactive gatherings. 

    Sweetcycle At 530 Fifth Ave. 

    For tenants looking to combine food, fitness and fun, the lobby of 530 Fifth Ave. featured Sweetcycle bikes. These stationary bikes are outfitted with a blender that is powered by the rider and to make gelato, pesto, smoothies and more. 

    Urbanspace Food Hall

    Urbanspace Food Hall, located on the ground floor of the Helmsley Building, features a wide selection of food vendors and is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and cocktails. Options include Black Iron Burger, Mayhem Sandwiches, Roberta’s Pizza and more.
