SoulCycle and LUNG FORCE Are Riding for Stronger Lungs
Bisnow has had several charitable partnerships in the past, including Your Grateful Nation and Movember, and we are especially proud to show our support for the American Lung Association’s LUNG FORCE movement, which unites women to stand against lung cancer and for lung health. On Monday, Dec. 7, the American Lung Association will host a charity, indoor cycling ride at SoulCycle’s West Village location, with the proceeds from bike reservations going to LUNG FORCE.
According to the American Lung Association of the Northeast's VP of Development, Rebecca Silver Fisher, a woman is diagnosed with lung cancer every five minutes, and the death rate for women has more than doubled over the last 35 years, making lung cancer the No. 1 cancer killer in the US. The organization hopes that the ride can help raise awareness and funds for a cure, and told Bisnow that SoulCycle—with the company’s focus on breath, movement and music —is a perfect fundraising partner.
SoulCycle instructor Bevin Prince agrees, telling Bisnow: “I think it’s very important to bring this issue to a community that can really provide support and awareness very quickly. SoulCycle’s community of riders and instructors consistently surprises and overwhelms me with their support. I’m excited to teach this ride.”
