RKF has lured two brokers away from Eastern Consolidated to bulk up its retail team in Manhattan and Brooklyn.

Ravi Idnani and Jeff Geoghegan have joined RKF in the role of directors as of Jan. 17, Commercial Observer reports. The two had been with Eastern Consolidated since the firm launched its retail division in 2014, according to CO.

While at Eastern Consolidated, Geoghegan brokered leases for the first two PokéSpot restaurant locations in New York City, at 120 Fourth Ave. and 25 Cleveland Place. His expertise lies in the neighborhoods of Chelsea, Hell's Kitchen and the Upper West Side. Geoghegan also brokered a lease with celebrity chef David Chang for Momofuku Nishi at 232 Eighth Ave. last year.

Idnani has closed restaurant, fitness and fashion deals in Midtown, NoMad and Brooklyn in the last couple of years, including internet-based catering service Eat Club's first location in New York.

RKF is beefing up its staff while it is reportedly in discussions to be acquired by Newmark, which would be the first major move for the brokerage firm since its disappointing initial public offering late last year.
