REBNY Report: Brokers Still Confident, But Less So
Confidence among brokers in the NYC market’s down slightly for Q3, according to REBNY’s latest Broker Confidence Index. Concern that interest rates could rise and tight inventory top the list of issues that have residential brokers less optimistic than they’ve been, the report says. On the commercial side, the national and international economic situation has brokers feeling a touch of bearishness.
The rating on the Overall Broker Confidence Index of 8.34 is a slight dip from Q2’s 8.84 out of 10, but still firmly in positive territory. The Commercial Broker Confidence Index also dipped a bit, from 9.47 in Q2 to 8.85 in Q3, on concerns about financing for commercial real estate sales. You can see the report here.
