Hemisfair To Become 'True Urban Park District'

Stream Realty Preps For Phase 2 At Westover Hills

Stream Realty Partners' San Antonio office will add a 101k SF Class-A office property to its One51 Office Centre campus in Westover Hills. There isn't an exact date yet for the groundbreaking, but a spokesperson for the company tells Bisnow it will be in Q1 2016 and will deliver by the end of the year.

The new building is Phase 2 of the project. Phase 1 broke ground in 2014 and has been a success for Stream as Westover Hills has become a strong submarket. One51 Office Centre is surrounded by offices for Nationwide Insurance, Wells Fargo, Hartford Insurance, Capital Group, Chase Bank, Microsoft and others.

Phase 2 will be built on 8.97 acres, off Highway 151 at 9810 SH 151. It will be a two-story building with flexible working spaces between 22k SF and 101k SF. The building will feature high ceilings, 24-hour security, oversized windows and seamless access to Highway 151. Construction is estimated to cost $6.4M.

Stream Realty Partners' Central Texas managing director, Carolyn Shaw, will lease the property.

How Long Can Jobless Claims Remain This Low? Economists Comment

Though jobless claims saw a mid-February jump to 272,000, the number still reached its 51st consecutive week below the 300,000 mark—the longest stretch since the 1970s. But jobless claims can't stay low forever. (Or can they?!) To get some clarity on the topic, we spoke to some top economists to get a breakdown.

Cushman & Wakefield economist Ken McCarthy says claims are likely to remain below 300,000 in 2016 as the economy plows forward with strong job growth and companies become more inclined to retain workers (given the shortage of the unemployed).
