This Week's Dallas-Fort Worth Deal Sheet

GuideStone Financial Resources leased 115K SF in the Pinnacle Tower at 5005 LBJ Freeway near the Galleria. This will replace its old headquarters at 2401 Cedar Springs in Uptown.

GuideStone also sold its 200K SF former headquarters, 2401 Cedar Springs, to Goldman Sachs and Crescent Real Estate. 

JLL's Brad Selner and Brooke Armstrong represented GuideStone in the leasing negotiations. GuideStone plans to move into its new space in late summer 2018. JLL's Jack Crews represented Guidstone in the sale transaction of its former HQ. EXECS Robert Babcock…

The Life Of Martin Luther King Jr., As Told Through Real Estate

This weekend the country celebrated the birth of civil rights activist and beloved African-American leader Martin Luther King Jr.

A preacher and a forerunner in the 1950s civil rights movement, King inspired a country divided by hate and ignorance to set aside its prejudice to build a more unified nation at a time when the legal segregation of African-Americans prevented black and white citizens from drinking from the same water fountain and legally marrying. 

Though he did not live to see his dream manifest, 50 years following his death the country still celebrates his heroism and his push to improve the lives of African-Americans without invoking violence.

This is Bisnow's look at the life of the revered preacher and social activist, as told through the prism of commercial real estate.

New NAFTA Deal Could Pay For U.S.-Mexico Border Wall

Tensions about the future of NAFTA are running high as the three countries that are subject to the agreement prepare to re-enter negotiations. While President Donald Trump has reiterated threats to pull out of the pact, more recently he has expressed interest in negotiating new terms that could help finance the U.S.-Mexico border wall.
