Equity REIT Earnings Come In Second, Outperforming Most Sectors In S&P 500
REITs outperformed their peers on the S&P 500 in the fourth quarter. The real estate sector exhibited the second-highest earnings growth of the S&P 500 sectors.
Publicly traded REIT earnings jumped 13.8% year-to-year in Q4, compared to 9.9% year-to-year earnings per share growth for the S&P 500.

Snapchat IPO: Investors Jump Despite Office 'Weaknesses'
Snapchat Inc.'s unorthodox office setup and lack of headquarters, which the company said could pose a risk to its future growth, has not detered traders from scrambling for a piece of the popular messaging app's stock during its IPO today.
Trading began Thursday morning on the New York Stock Exchange with shares opening at $24. The firm's $24B valuation is the highest for a nationwide tech company since Facebook's nearly five years ago, Reuters reports. The company reported it had an average of 158 million active daily users at the end of last year and $404M in revenue.
