'Let's Test The Boundaries': Texas' Largest Mass Timber Office Building Opens In Dallas-Fort Worth

The largest mass timber office project in Texas has officially debuted in Frisco, paving the way for mainstream acceptance of a building material that could revolutionize commercial construction.

The first phase of The Offices at Southstone Yards is a 242K SF, seven-story tower at 4401 Cirrus Way, just north of State Highway 121. Use of mass timber has thus far been relegated to smaller, boutique office projects, making Crow Holdings Development’s decision to embark on a larger footprint a potential game-changer for the industry.

Retail Forced To Step Up Its Game In ‘Relentless Pursuit’ To Win Business

Retail is commercial real estate’s comeback kid, but with that title comes an added layer of competition for owners.

After years of pandemic-induced isolation, consumers are once again dining out, shopping at brick-and-mortar stores and opting for in-person experiences. Beyond Logistics: Prologis Takes Small But Mighty Steps Into Data Centres, Solar Generation And Life Sciences

When you’re the size of Prologis, carving out even a small part of your portfolio for an alternative use can create a business that would make you a big player in other sectors.

The logistics giant is putting that to the test, recently launching a dedicated data centre arm that could create a $25B portfolio, making it one of the largest owners in the fast-growing sector. The expansion of its solar electricity generation facilities has the capacity to make it a top 10 global player.

And in the UK, Prologis is building a life sciences campus that has a potential end value of £500M ($638M).

Logistics is always going to be its core business. But Prologis is tapping into fast-growing sectors of the real estate world and the wider economy to boost its growth.  “We’ve got a 1.2B SF portfolio and $216B of assets under management. At that scale, you have to look at whether…
