Inside Cosm, The Viral Entertainment Venue That Wants To Change How The World Watches Sports

Just Released: Biscred's Browser Extension Makes CRE Prospecting Effortless

Cosm is difficult to explain in words.

During a screening of the Sept. 28 Louisville-Notre Dame college football game, fans throughout the three-tiered stadium seating at Cosm Dallas FaceTimed with friends and family to offer a glimpse of the spectacle, letting the video do the talking.

The 87-foot diameter, 12K LED dome screen put patrons so close to the action that they jumped back when players came barreling toward the screen. But instead of braving the elements at rainy Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend, Indiana, supporters of the Cardinals and the Fighting Irish watched from the climate-controlled comfort of plush seats, served by a full waitstaff offering up wagyu burgers and pork belly banh mi alongside a full menu of signature cocktails.

“I think it’s an awesome experience,” Notre Dame fan Patrice Murphy said of her and her husband’s first impression. “It’s better than being there.”

Hotel Union, Ownership Group Reach Deal To Clear Path For Lightning Rod Licensing Bill

New York City hotels could soon have to pay for a license every two years, as a contentious bill written this summer got the backing of a major industry association that previously opposed the legislation.

Hotel Union, Ownership Group Reach Deal To Clear Path For Lightning Rod Licensing Bill

The licensing requirement is one part of Int. 991, known as the Safe Hotels Act, the introduction of which caught the industry by surprise this summer. Only Lenders With The Deepest Pockets Can Sit At The Data Center Table

Only Lenders With The Deepest Pockets Can Sit At The Data Center Table

The rapidly expanding world of data center development requires massive sums of money, limiting the number of players who can credibly invest in the fastest-growing sector of commercial real estate.

“We've got strong conviction in the data center space. The problem is we just can't write a $2B loan,” Invesco Managing Director Yorick Starr said at Bisnow’s National Commercial Real Estate Finance conference last week. “When you look at a lot of these deals, the numbers are just mind-boggling.”

In April,  Vantage Data Centers received a  $3B loan to accelerate the construction of its new facilities. That same month,  DataBank established a  $725M credit facility to finance its data center construction projects. Two months later, another competitor,  CyrusOne, secured an  $8B loan
