CoreCivic Plans Expansion Of Otay Mesa ICE Detention Center
Nashville-based operator CoreCivic, formerly Corrections Corporation of America, has filed for building permits in Otay, California, to add a 66,400 SF extension to the Otay Mesa Immigration and Customs Enforcement Detention Center at 7488 Calzada De La Fuente.
The project, expected to cost more than $6M, will add 512 beds to the immigration detention center outside of San Diego near the U.S.-Mexico border.
