Surging student enrollment numbers are driving demand for student housing, according to San Diego-based Pierce Education Properties president/CEO Fredrick W. Pierce. PEP, with $800M in student housing acquired nationwide, is among the Top 10 student housing buyers and Top 15 owner/investor firms nationwide.

Colleges and universities experienced a 38% increase in student enrollment between 2000 and 2010, and the National Center for Education Statistics predicts another 14% increase in enrollment annually over the next decade. Fred says higher education is a very competitive…
