Off-Market Multifamily Sellers Are Leaving A Ton Of Money On The Table

CHICAGO — Marketing a property can increase the sale price by up to 23%, which runs counter to the idea that off-market deals can achieve higher values because a buyer will be more aggressive to seal a trade.

“The perception is when a seller has one buyer vying for an asset, that buyer is more aggressive and willing to pay a premium because they don't want the seller to get into a bidding war for the property. Our research found the opposite,” KIG CRE Managing Partner Todd Stofflet said.

Westfield has unveiled a vision for the shopping center of the future, with a series of images giving shoppers an idea of what they can look forward to in 2028.
 
Westfield's Destination 2028 concept has been created based on insights from a panel of experts, including a futurologist, fashion technology innovator, retail specialist and experimental physiologists.

Westfield described the shopping center of 2028 "as a hyper-connected micro-city, driven by social interaction and creating its own community." It said new technologies will be fused with back-to-basics including gardens and "classroom retail," where people watch and learn from their favorite retailers.

Lack Of AI Investment To Leave Smart Cities Exposed To Cyberattacks

Cities are getting smarter and more connected with the help of technology, but that also means they are becoming increasingly vulnerable to cyberattacks, according to ISACA's 2018 Smart Cities Survey.

To stave off future attacks, ISACA reports municipalities and the federal government need to begin investing in preventive controls like artificial intelligence to limit cybercrime and minimize risks for residents.
