Oz-based Goodman Group’s American subsidiary Goodman Birtcher kicked off its massive North American development program at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana last week. The event's theme: Off to the Races. After several years researching the North American market, the Goodman Group jumpstarted things in 2012 by acquiring Birtcher Development & Investments. Over the past 24 months, the company kept quiet about its land acquisitions as it amassed a portfolio of Class-A development sites in high-absorption markets in California, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. About half of the $1.4B development pipeline will be in SoCal, beginning with the $150M Goodman Logistics Center Rancho Cucamonga.
