Drive Shack Debuts Flagship Golf-Entertainment Venue In Orlando
Drive Shack, an entertainment venue pairing golf games with food and drink, is poised to open its 60K SF flagship location at 7285 Corner Drive in Lake Nona's Sports and Performance District at the end of this month.
The three-story, indoor/outdoor all-weather golf-entertainment complex will feature 90 hitting bays each seating up to six people, a lounge with games like shuffleboard, skeeball and Pac-Man, a full-service restaurant and bar, an outdoor lounge and three meeting and event rooms.
With that kind of variety, the facility is aimed not only at golfers, but also people with little experience at the game.
Drive Shack's tech includes proprietary games such as Shackjack, in which players can aim at playing cards that appear over each hole while trying to build a hand of 21 without busting. Or guests can save the Drive Shack Princess by destroying all of the monsters on the range during a game of Monster Hunt.
Guests can also take on real courses, such as Teton Pines and Linfield National, as if they are actually there by using Drive Shack's virtual reality technology.
For those looking to improve their golf game, Drive Shack's golf pro offers instruction for players of all ages and skill levels. Drive Shack will also offer leagues throughout the year.
The company said additional locations are in the works in Raleigh, West Palm Beach, New Orleans, Marietta, Georgia, and Richmond, Virginia.
