Equus Buys Office/Lab Portfolio for $41M
Philly-based Equus Capital Partners snapped up a four-property office and lab portfolio (including 1201 Clopper Rd, above) in Gaithersburg, Md., for $41.4M. The properties--95% occupied and totaling 283k SF--are in suburban Maryland's DNA Alley tech sector. HFF's Jim Meisel, who repped seller Alexandria Real Estate Equities, tells us the portfolio is "very stable," but there's still value-add potential. Equus VP George Haines, who repped his firm, says some of that might come from the development of a land parcel. Joining in on the deal: HFF's Dek Potts and Matt Nicholson withScheer Partners' Robert Scheer and Matt Brady for Alexandria; Equus Roy Perry and Kyle Turner assisted George.
