Tenants Picky, But They Do Want Space
August 8, 2012
It’s still a tenants’ market for office space in greater Philly, but Mack-Cali reports a good quarter for leasing in its suburban Philly and South Jersey portfolio: a bit over 159k SF leased during Q2. New tenants included the likes of a medical supply company, a wine distributor, a provider of IT maintenance and supply (so far, this is greatest game of Clue ever), and the law firm Campbell Campbell Edwards & Conroy, which recently inked a new 13k SF lease at 1205 Westlakes Dr in Berwyn, Pa., with director of leasing Christie McBride repping Mack-Cali (pictured). She tells us that tenants know what they want and landlords need to be quick enough to provide it. Mack-Cali CEO Mitchell Hersh chalks up the quarter’s successes to strong sponsorship and a “tenants first” philosophy that “allows us to attract and retain credit-quality tenants." |
