Wawa and More Wawa

| Who needs Wawa? Florida needs Wawa. At least that’s the conclusion of Wawa, the convenience store operator HQ’d in Wawa, Pa. (you can tell we’re fond of that name). The company opened its first store in the state last month—in Orlando, near Sea World, at an event with a Wawa-like mascot—and opened the second one last week, also in Orlando. Throughout the Orlando/Tampa markets, Wawa plans to open 20 stores in 2013, 25 in 2014; and 25 in 2015; and it projects 100 stores will be open in those markets during the next five years. That’s a lotta Wawa. |
