Fit City PHL Talks Active Design for Philly
Snapped at Fit City PHL, a half-day symposium at 1500 Market St organized by Health Promotion Council, an affiliate of Public Health Management Corp (PHMC), and other groups, with a focus on active design. That concept is an approach to the design and development of buildings, streets and municipalities that uses architecture and planning strategies to improve the health of residents through increased access to physical activity and healthy foods. Moderated by the PHMC CEO Richard Cohen, speakers included execs from Public Health Management Corp, the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission, KMS Design Group and Bolender Architects.
