It's Official: FMC Tower Underway
Heard fireworks in the vicinity of University City yesterday? It was no college prank (although we wouldn't blame them: school's out!) It was the official groundbreaking of Brandywine Realty's much anticipated FMC Tower at Cira Centre South. As Bisnow reported in April, the tower at 30th and Walnut will rise 49 stories—two more than originally proposed—and at 730 feet will be Philly's tallest building west of the Schuylkill. Its 2.7M SF are slated to be filled by FMC's new HQ (279k) and Penn (100k), plus 268 apartments and executive suites, 4,000 SF of restaurant space, and a fitness center, yoga studio, and spa.
