Grim news from the Boardwalk: Labor Day weekend was the last hurrah for Revel, the $2.4B casino that closed after only two years in operation. If that wasn’t enough, the veteran Showboat also closed over the weekend, and Trump Plaza will follow suit in two weeks, leaving eight casinos still running and a lot of big real estate with an unclear fate.
