Brewerytown Warehouse To Be Converted Into Mixed-Use Building
A mixed-use renovation of an old, unused warehouse in Brewerytown has been announced by the Fairmount Civic Association, to be discussed in a community meeting on Thursday.
The plans are to convert the building, home of Commonwealth Brewery at the turn of the 20th century, into ground-floor retail (and parking) with 14 apartments above. Plans also include two floors to be added on top of the existing structure, according to Naked Philly.
Besides the renovation, the as-yet-unnamed developers also plan to add three single-family homes in the rear of the lot. Whether the plan moves forward as announced will be decided by the Fairmount Civic Association. [Naked]
