Fairmount Avenue CDC Announces Plan For Series Of Public Improvements
Anticipating an influx of new businesses to its commercial corridor, the Fairmount Avenue Commercial Development Corp has laid out a plan for a series of public improvements.
The CDC calls it the Lighter Quicker Cheaper Plan, and the idea is to propose a number of fixes costing under $25k that would improve pedestrian safety and desirability. The CDC is soliciting input from community members before pursuing funding for the project, according to Plan Philly.
Among the incoming developments are the mixed-use renovation projects going up at the A.F. Bornot Dye Works, helmed by MMPartners, and at the Overseas Motor Works building. [PP]
