Suburbs Seduce Tenants With Creative Space
The city has great new office space, but no monopoly on creative space, NAI Mertz VP Rebecca Ting tells us. “The suburbs can’t replicate the city experience, but suburban office can offer a host of amenities that stack up well against its cosmopolitan counterparts,” says Rebecca (snapped with colleague Julie Kronfeld). “Within the Cherry Hill submarket, for instance, you can find office buildings with open floor plans, energy-efficiency measures, on-site cafes, bike racks, and in the case of 51 Haddonfield, a rotating art exhibition.”
Recently Rebecca and Julie, along with colleague Fred Meyer, were tapped by owners Time Equities and Bergman Real Estate Group as leasing agents for the 98k SF 51 Haddonfield in Cherry Hill. “For small to midsized businesses and even corporations, the suburbs offer proximity to the city and all its attractions at a more affordable rate,” says Julie. “Couple that with the significant population that still lives in the suburbs, and the suburbs remain a strong draw for employers.”
