1735 Market Is Raising The Bar For Amenities In Philadelphia

Gaming 1735 Market

In Philadelphia, location is key. A block or two matters.

So when 1735 Market Street's upgrades are complete, its cutting-edge amenities and proximity to buzzing West Market Street, Logan Square and Rittenhouse Square could make it Philadelphia’s top office draw.

Newmark Grubb Knight Frank executive managing director Wayne Fisher tells Bisnow the property is striving to attract the Millennial workforce via its abundant offering of desirable amenities.

The updated building—which was once known as BNY Mellon Center—will feature 12k SF of extras, including a 100-person classroom-style conference room. “Tenants want a large, flexible space for meetings and conferences with catering options, and we are bringing that convenience right to them at 1735 Market,” Wayne tells us. He also points out that huddle rooms will be included in the space for when privacy is required.

The building is also planning to have a game area, fireplace, giant-screen TVs, bar, wine lockers and an outdoor terrace (pictured) on the amenity floor. The outdoor space will foster collaboration and provide a change of scenery with views of Market Street. Tenants can also use the space for client entertaining.

With its recent upgrades near completion, the Pyramid Club now competes with the heralded Union League in terms of its dining experience and offers some of the best views of the city.

The building has received WiredScore’s Wired Gold certification, which means it offers leading-edge technology and superior connectivity to its tenants.

Wayne says the exploding residential population of Philadelphia has resulted in a notable increase in workers biking or walking to work. 1735 Market’s bike storage room and Indego Bike Share station provide a level of convenience only to be matched by the mass transit right in the concourse below. For those driving to work, the building offers an underground private garage.

Today’s health-conscious workers can also enjoy the building’s fitness center run by Philadelphia Sports Club, which weighs in as the second-largest commercial office gym in the city.

With all of these conveniences under one roof and a cornucopia of food, entertainment, lodging and transportation options just steps away along the 18th Street Corridor, 1735 Market will be difficult to top as the most sought-after address in Philadelphia.

The updates are expected to be completed by spring 2017.
