Natural Grocery Chain Sprouts To Enter Philly Market In Lincoln Square
With high-end, natural food grocers in high demand in Philadelphia and across the country, a new brand will be moving into the market.
Sprouts Farmers Market, a 15-state chain focused mainly in the South and Southwest, will open two locations in the Philadelphia area, one of them in the Lincoln Square development on Broad and Washington streets, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Target has already leased space in the development for one of its flexible, urban-format chains, and a PetSmart location is also in the works. Though Alterra Property Group and MIS Capital shepherded Lincoln Square through the planning and design review phases, Kimco Realty Corp. has since bought a 90% stake in the development.
Sprouts also reportedly plans to open a second location in the Philadelphia region in the Moorestown Mall in Burlington County, New Jersey.
