Work Starts On New Bioresearch Facility At ASU
McCarthy Building Cos broke ground on the Biodesign C Research Building, the third building in ASU’s Biodesign Institute complex at ASU in Tempe. The 188k SF development will include flexible lab space for scientific researchers, adaptable enough to accommodate multiple types of scientific research, reports AZ Big Media.
The building will also feature a drug discovery and bioenergy research tool: the world’s first compact X-ray laser. As many as 80 lead researchers and 300 support staff from the Biodesign Institute, the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering will call the facility home.
