Western States Lodging Begins Work On Scottsdale Assisted Living Development
Western States Lodging, along with development partners Boyer Group and Colmena Group, started work on Legacy Village of Salt River, a senior housing community. Located in the Pima Center business park in Scottsdale, the property will offer 216 units in a mix of two-bedrooms, one-bedrooms and studios.
The development will be an assisted living community. Plans call for three internal courtyards that serve as hubs of activity and outdoor socializing, two dining rooms and bistros, a beauty salon, a theater, game rooms, craft rooms, meeting space and a swimming pool.
"We’re not only accommodating the needs of couples who maintain an active independent lifestyle, but also providing assistance for residents who may need dementia-related care," Western States Lodging and Management's Cole Smith told AZ Big Media.
Nearby healthcare providers include Honor Health and Mayo Clinic facilities. Honor Health’s physical rehabilitation hospital is within the Pima Center campus, providing access to Legacy Village of Salt River residents in need of post-hospitalization recuperation services.
Western States Lodging is no stranger to the greater Phoenix market. The company previously developed Legacy House of Avondale, and it operates Legacy Retirement Residence in Mesa. Hardison/Downey Construction, which also built Legacy House, is building Legacy Village of Salt River. The development was financed by Zions Bank.
