R&H Construction Takes 52K SF In Slabtown For New HQ
Portland-based R&H Construction inked a long-term lease for 52K SF in two buildings at The Hopper, a 167K SF industrial campus on more than five acres in Portland. The space will be the company's HQ starting next year.
R&H Construction will use 18K SF in Building C of the campus for its headquarters and 34K SF of warehouse space in Building B for its shop and field resource center.
R&H Construction President John Ward called the Slabtown neighborhood one of Portland’s up-and-coming areas, and R&H will play a role in the transformation.
In addition to being the project’s first tenant, the construction company did all of the renovations on the entire campus, including core shell work, demolition, build-out and building upgrades.
Winkler Development and Watumull Properties Corp. own The Hopper, acquiring it from the prior occupant, Cenveo Corp., and tasking R&H Construction to do the redevelopment work.
Brad Carnese of Cushman & Wakefield Portland, along with colleagues Aaron Watt and Mark Carnese, handle leasing for the campus.
