Tanner Point, in Portland's Pearl District, features workable windows, natural light and flexible meeting spaces.

CBRE Global Investors plans to put 5,100 SF of retail and restaurant space on the ground level of its newly acquired Tanner Point office building in Portand’s Pearl District. CBRE purchased the eight-story office tower, formerly known as 9North, last fall upon its delivery to market.

The company is investing $1.25M in additional improvements that will include flexible meeting spaces and other amenities that are attractive to tech tenants who are being priced out of the San Francisco and Seattle markets. Floor plans ranging from 19,600 SF to 28,800 SF are available.

“Tanner Point is one of the only multi-tenant office options in the Pearl District, and offers the rare combination of cutting-edge workspace and community-driven amenities that are sought by the technology, media and IT companies who are flocking to this area,” CBRE Global Investors Senior Director Jake Mota said. “The deep pool of professional talent and walkable retail, dining and entertainment options signal a bright future for Tanner Point.”

Amenities include game rooms, exercise classes and lounges, as well as dry-cleaning and dog-walking services.

The building is designed by Hacker Architects. LEED Silver certification is being pursued. The architecture reflects the Pearl District’s manufacturing history with ample natural light and workable windows that allow for fresh air flow.

CBRE’s Kevin Kaufman, Autumn Brice and Trevor Kafoury are overseeing leasing at Tanner Point.
