Great Notion Brewing Inks Expansion Deal
Only in business for about a year, Great Notion Brewing has signed a lease for 20k SF at 2448 NW 28th Ave, where it will use about 17,500 SF for production and 2,500 SF for a restaurant and tap room. The brewery, founded by three Portlanders — James Dugan, Andy Miller and Paul Reiter — will keep its original location on Northeast Alberta, the Portland Business Journal reports.
Great Notion is known for its New England-style IPA and its sours and stouts. The new production facility should be operational by Q3 2017, with the restaurant opening not long after. The new space will allow the brewery to produce about 2,000 barrels this year and as many as 4,000 barrels in 2018.
ZGF Architects and Centrex Construction will work with Great Notion on the project. Cushman & Wakefield's Aaron Watt, Keegan Clay and Matt Johnson repped the brewery, while Apex Real Estate Partners repped the owner, OSB2LAN Management. [PBJ]
