Russian Restaurant Expands In Former Belmont Goats Space
Portland restaurant Kachka, known for its Russian fare, is expanding into a larger restaurant space in the development informally known as the Goat Blocks. The restaurant inked a deal for nearly 3k SF at 960 SE 11th Ave in Killian Pacific's LOCA development, which is bringing almost 250 apartments and 89k SF of retail space to a property that was formerly home to the Belmont Goats in the Central Eastside Industrial District.
Kachka's original location, at 720 SE Grand Ave, opened in 2014 and will remain open to serve its signature menu items, such as dumplings, herring "under a fur coat" (a seven-layer dip) and vodka infusions, the Portland Business Journal reports. The new location will offer a larger dining room and larger kitchen, which will allow for an expanded menu. [PBJ]
