LA Investor Nabs Gaslamp Quarter Historic Building

A historic Gaslamp Quarter property is getting a little piece of Hollywood. The William Penn Building was just sold to LA-based Maxxam Enterprises for $10.2M from Viewpoint Equities. Formerly the William Penn Hotel, the circa 1913 mixed-use property at 511 F St underwent major renovations in 2001, and now houses 18 apartments and 11k SF of retail, anchored by Maloney's Tavern, according to the San Diego Business Journal.
