C.W. Driver has started construction on a $73M renovation and expansion project at San Diego State University?s Storm and Nasatir building complex. The project involves bringing two lecture halls built in 1957 up to today's health and safety standards, including new code-compliant HVAC, lighting, and ceiling systems, and technology and electrical upgrades. (All the ghosts must also stop teaching that there are only 48 states.) The LPA-designed complex is aiming LEED Gold. C.W. Driver's Hank Withaar says sustainability is vital in today's higher ed projects. The contractor also built the LEED Silver Torrey Pines Center North at UC San Diego. |
