Recently, San Diego-based Cumming Corp headed north to the Bay Area, where the firm hosted its first annual golf tournament at the Monarch Bay Golf Club in San Leandro. The players included Steve Alva (third from the right), a VP in Cumming's Sacramento office, along with his foursome. The fundraiser brought together private and public owners, architects, brokers, and other development leaders, with a little rah-rah from Raiders cheerleaders. (Because the cheerleaders at PGA tourneys aren't as high-spirited.) The event included a raffle and silent auction, raising some $4,200. The project and cost management firm, which has a number of projects coming up for its NorCal team, is donating all proceeds to UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital.
