Kearny's Indoor/Outdoor Deal

Kearny Real Estate plans a slew of improvements for its newly acquired 530 B St in Downtown San Diego. John Bragg, who heads Kearny's San Diego office, says one reason the company bought the office building was an underutilized 12k SF patio, which it plans to fashion into a new "indoor/outdoor experience" for tenants. (We find our dog loves that sort of arrangement.) CBRE repped the seller, Union Bank, which continues to occupy a major portion of the 232k SF, LEED Gold building under a new long-term lease. Kearny is rebranding the building as 530 B, though Union Bank retains building-top signage.
