LINCOLN’S FIRST SAN DIEGO BUY
December 18, 2012
Lincoln Property, recently nominated for a Golden Globe for best motion picture, acquired the 24-story, 359k SF 600 B St—its first local purchase since setting up shop here in May. SVP Brig Black says Lincoln likes the office tower?s quality, floor-to-ceiling glass suites, and great ceiling heights, to say nothing of the unobstructed views of the bay and Balboa Park. The building is 85% occupied, ?and we see a steady downtown recovery in San Diego.? Nomura CDO 2007-2-600 B Street LLC was the seller (as well as one of the lesser known ?droids from Star Wars); the building was built in ?74 and renovated in ?96. The company partnered with Angelo, Gordon & Co on the deal. Lincoln may be new to San Diego, but Brig is a local market expert. He joined the company from Shidler and, as many of you know, serves as president of NAIOP San Diego. |
