Lucky Number 13
There's no triskaidekaphobia with Trigild COO Judy Hoffman. Next week, the property management, hotel management, and receivership firm puts on its 13th annual Lender Conference at the Westin Gaslamp. More than 350 are expected to attend. Judy, who founded the conference way back when, tells us there'll be more talk this year about the loan maturities coming up in '15, '16, and '17 and whether they'll be refinanced. Another topic will be the shadow lending market. Trigild also will be releasing a state-by-state guide for receiverships and bankruptcies with key filing dates. As for the firm itself, Trigild is doing what it always does when default rates go down: picking up more long-term management of hotels, offices, and other commercial properties. The latest: a Hampton Inn in Orange County.
