Vista Pacific Properties bought a 5,600 SF office building in Escondido (200 W Grand Ave) to use as an admin building for the new John Paul the Great Catholic University across the street. The two-story building, which sold for just over $1M, is adjacent to the recently redeveloped Maple Street Plaza. CDC Commercial's Don Zech and Nick Zech repped both the buyer and seller, a family trust.

Gamboa Inc/Metro Steel bought a 19k SF industrial warehouse/office building, 1355 Presioca St in Spring Valley, from Ebco Steel and H&H Diversified Investment Co for $1M. Pacific Coast Commercial's Vince Provenzano and Shirley Kanamu repped the sellers. Weise & Associates' Erik Weise repped the buyer.
LEASE
Priority Cargo Expediters, an international customs broker and freight forwarder, renewed and renegotiated its 17k SF industrial lease (2155 Paseo De Las Americas) in the Otay Mesa industrial complex. The Saywitz Co's Jeff Saywitz repped the tenant; Monroe Capital's Mitchell Perlman repped the owner, Otay Commercial Partners.
CONSTRUCTION
C.W. Driver completed the $73M Storm and Nasatir Halls complex at San Diego State University. Designed by LPA, the LEED Gold project includes the 100k SF renovation and 30k SF expansion of the existing complex, which was built in 1957.

Erik Parker joined CBRE as a VP in the Downtown San Diego office, specializing in South County industrial leasing and sales. He comes to the firm from Cassidy Turley, where he handled development projects for Master Development, Kearny, and Venture Corp, and leasing assignments for Clarion Partners and Rexford Industrial.
