Trigild Opens New Office in DC-Maryland Market
We spoke yesterday with Trigild managing director of commercial RE Brian Morelan. The San Diego-based property management, receivership and consulting firm has opened an office in the Baltimore-DC area ("on the Maryland side") to serve its growing business there (and to enjoy some delicious Maryland crabs). The firm, whichhad a small DC office through its recent alliance with Allegiance, expands itsEast Coast operations toeight people in addition to 45 employees serving the East and Southeastern US. Brian says the new office's largest new assignment is third-party management for a 2M SF portfolio of Class-A and B-plus high-rise properties on behalf of a single owner. Overall, Trigild has 5M SF of commercial properties and 2,000 multifamily units in the East from Puerto Rico to the Mississippi River under management.
Asset manager Chris Gibson has relocated to the new office from San Diego, where he joins regional director of real estate-East Josh Hall. Both joined Trigild in 2010. Brian says the firm hasbeen a property management company since its inception more than 36 years ago, but manypeople don't realize it, given Trigild's high-profile receivership work during the downturn. The new business "proves our experience is translating into future third-party management" assignments. In his spare time, Brian snow skis, mountain bikes, and is a "big fan of Formula One racing."
