We keep hearing that smart buildings will boastthe latest and greatest emerging technologies, helping to lure tech and new generation, creative-type businesses. Because development on the bay is restricted, Perry says Manchester Pacific Gateway will offer Downtown'sonly waterfront office buildings. He's also going through entitlements for Manchester Financial's Union Tribune master plan in Mission Valley, which calls for the additions of a high-rise residential tower along the river, and a 250k SF office tower on I-8, among the mix of uses.
