MedEquities Makes Big Inroads Into SD Nursing Homes
Nashville-based MedEquities Realty Trust has spent $80M on five skilled nursing homes in SoCal. San Diego buys include Friendship Manor and Castle Manor, both in National City; Arbor Hills (here) in La Mesa; and Heritage Court in Upland, reports the San Diego Business Journal. The deal also gives MedEquities the option to buy an unidentified asset from Life Generations by July for an additional $15M. MedEquities CEO John McRoberts says the transaction is the largest deal the firm has done short of its recent purchase of Lakeway Regional Medical Center in Austin for $75M. [SDBJ]
