| DivcoWest continued its Bay Area buying spree with the acquisition of the Caribbean Corporate Center, a four-building, 261k SF office/R&D complex in Sunnyvale. Tenants in the institutional-grade property (1310–1327 Chesapeake Terrace) include firms that develop systems to treat serious conditions like cancer and brain tumors (and whatever illnesses are caused by infrequently cleaning out the lunch room refrigerator). Divco West’s Sam Hamilton says Silicon Valley remains a strong target market for the firm and Caribbean Corporate Center represents a “strategic addition” to its portfolio there. Eastdil marketed the property on behalf of seller LaSalle Investment Management. |
